oscommerce to magento products migration + new products add  

Hi there,

I need our site migrated from oscommerce to magento.

Most of the work has been done, products imported, rewrites - as its currently on a development website.

I just need this converted to our main domain.

Magento experts only. I will be looking to working with you for immediate and future projects

hey i have a site (negrielectronics) which I need moved from oscommerce to magento. i believe there are automated tools to do this, as we have over 1500 products and many customers (around 9000 i think).

I need the site to look exactly the same when moved over (very minor changes may be allowable, we'll see), with all products and user accounts correctly in place.

Custom coding

* Need some way of having some pre defined text fields that we can link to in the product descriptions.
* Eg we can link 50 products to this bit of text/code so then if we need to change the text on those 50 product listings we can do it once and change the global variable rather than changing 50 times on each individual page

I would like someone who has at least Oscommerce experience. I will be with you all the way to guide you but currently don't have the time to complete this part of the project myself.

Script for Migration from a custom shop site (the database are in mysql) to Magento.

Transfer data from oscommerce to magentocommerce store, The store is not live, i need someone with the knowledge of mysql, css, php. The selected consultant will transfer data, fixed categories, trim data to look presentable. Fix line gaps and transfer all tables to magento. Familiarity with magento is helpful.

We need someone experienced with Magento and Oscommerce who can export our Oscommerce data to a new Magento store.
The Magento module for migration does not work at all.

maybe edit the areas in the oscommerce database so that they match the magento database and then export them? Not sure what the best way to do this is but you would know better then we would.

There is a tool for magento that is supposed to migrate over the oscommerce database this may give you something to start with but its out of date and we could not get it to work probably because we have custom info in the database.

ny of the customer or order info between these stores, only the catalog (product) related data. Catalog data being migrated from OSCommerce is simple data, not grouped.

After the data has moved from OSCommerce to Magento, the magento website must be functional and the data must be working and displaying correctly, mapped to the correct categories & products. The site must display & function properly after the data has been brought in to Magento.
